Ästhetische Medienpraxis

In Die Vorbereitung des Romans hat Roland Barthes u.a. die Diagnose einer Praxis vorgetragen, die die Konstruktion des Entstehungsprozesses eigener Schöpfungen mit Fragen des Ästhetischen verbindet. Der praxistheoretische Rahmen von Barthes Bestimmung kann dabei dazu genutzt werden, eine ästhetische Medienpraxis zu reflektieren, die im Kontext medienwissenschaftlicher Lehre einen spezifischen Ort erfordert: ein Labor, das Theorie und Praxis der Medien nicht voneinander separiert, sondern miteinander verschaltet. Der Beitrag skizziert die Grundlagen einer solchen Konzeption für die Debatte um Medienpraxis und Lehre anhand des Beispiels einer ästhetischen Filmpraxis, die Medienwissen ebenso bewusst macht wie sie Techniken des Mediengebrauchs, der -herstellung und der -analyse vermittelt.

Aesthetic Media Practice 

In The Preparation of the Novel, Roland Barthes presented, among other things, the diagnosis of a practice that combines the construction of the process of creating one's own creations with questions of aesthetics. The practice-theoretical framework of Barthes' diagnosis can be used to reflect on an aesthetic media practice that requires a specific place in the context of media studies teaching: a laboratory that does not separate media theory and practice, but rather connects them. The article outlines the foundations of such a concept for the debate on media practice and teaching, using the example of an aesthetic film practice that makes people aware of media knowledge and teaches techniques of media use, production and analysis.
